Cracow for jazz fans
Music life in Cracow vibrates very strongly and all of its fans can find something interesting for themselves. With its pubs, clubs and cafés, the city fits in perfectly in the atmosphere of jazz music. There are a lot of places where you can listen to live music and have a cup of coffee or a glass of cold beer.
The places that are worth visiting: ''Harris Piano Jazz Bar'' (Rynek 28) and ''Indigo Club'' (26 Floriańska Street), where stars like Tomasz Stańko and Nigel Kennedy have their concerts. Another one is ''Mile Stone'' (6 Nadwiślańska Street, in the Qubus Hotel building). A mandatory spot for the ones that like more ambitious jazz sounds is ''Alchemia'' (5 Estery Street, Kazimierz). Moreover, there is a place where you can listen to music while having a picnic beside the Vistula River - it's called ''Drukarnia'' (1 Nadwiślańska Street) and it has an interesting offer for all the jazz enthusiasts.
Autumn is almost over, the festivals Krakowska Jesień Jazzowa (Cracow Jazz Fall Festival) and Zaduszki Jazzowe (All Souls' Day Jazz Festival) have already taken place in our city. However, in winter when it's freezing outside, it's also worth going out with friends to some clubs that offer pleasant concerts while having a tea or a hot beer. Although hot beer (with raspberry sirup, cinnamon and cloves) may seem to you as a quite abstract experience, you have to try it, it's irreplaceable for every type of undesirable cold.
Opinions
I am listening to the CD I got from you and I would like to thank you once again, not only for the CD, but for the two weeks I spent in Kraków! Thanks to you I had a fresh and thorough look at the extraordinary place. Unfortunately, two weeks are not enough to explore the whole city, and that's why I'm all the more happy about my next visit. Right now I know that if I need any information about Kraków's cultural or night life, I have someone to turn to.
