Ola asked us to write a couple of words about her – it´s very hard to write briefly about her.

An extraordinary friend, an attentive and patient listener, helpful, joyful and highly authentic – that's how she is. A combination of positivism and romanticism, rather the ones in life than in the literature.
She is open-minded and talkative, thanks to what she finds a common language with her students without the smallest problem and she can be a great inspiration for them. Her classes always have an excellent atmosphere, in which the students learn and make friends among themselves.
She's a professional. She has been teaching Polish for more than ten years and she constantly finds passion in it. She trains other teachers and also educates herself continuously – not only in the field of methodology. Ola will respond to almost every question related to the Polish Film School and gothic churches, most willingly having at the same time a strong and aromatic coffee.
I have been using Polish language for more than a quarter of a century, I have been teaching it for five years now, for passion and with passion.
My students know that Polish is a challenge, but the goal is worth the effort: not only when we speak like Poles, but also when we laugh at the same jokes and we complain of everything in the same way, beginning with the weather and ending with the condition of the Polish national football team ;-) In my free time, apart from regretting that Poles use less Genitive when speaking, I hike, devour books and any kind of a good (!) food. I invite you to my lessons!
I work at Varia because I like people and here you can meet people from the whole world. I like enthusiasts, if it was not for them, who else would learn Polish? :)
In general, I like otherness, even the absurd – at least it´s not boring, and you can look for similarities. My motto is “Having Fun With Polish”, you can have fun teaching both conversations and Polish grammar. This way, I invite you to my lessons.
I believe that the lesson should be carefully constructed and well-thought-out. During my classes I try to see each of my students separately, discover their potential and then develop their talents.
I set high standards and I effectively help my students to overcome all the language difficulties. In my spare time I read, go to the cinema and... dream – recently about a small cat that could live at home with me.
When I was a little girl, I dreamed of a life on the stage – I wanted to be a cabaret actress, make people laugh and sing songs for them.
So I became a teacher :), and my sense of humor, everlasting energy and good contact with the audience now help me break through the mysteries of the Polish language with my students. You also make part of this performance – get ready to have a great fun and discover your creativity in Polish!
I am a Polish teacher for not a long time, I love what I do and I use all my energy to do it well. My smile and commitment quickly spread to my students.
I'm full of music, what my friends and students for sure can hear... I sing for as long as I can remember and for ever. I'm interested in the foklore of the Polish countryside, music and my grandparents' and great-grandparents' dance. Moreover, I'm a loyal fan of contemporary art, street art and poster art. My dream is to see the MoMA museum in New York, in which are situated the works of my favourite painter, Mark Rothko.
Opinions
I am listening to the CD I got from you and I would like to thank you once again, not only for the CD, but for the two weeks I spent in Kraków! Thanks to you I had a fresh and thorough look at the extraordinary place. Unfortunately, two weeks are not enough to explore the whole city, and that's why I'm all the more happy about my next visit. Right now I know that if I need any information about Kraków's cultural or night life, I have someone to turn to.
