Intensive courses are perfect for those who wish to start learning Polish, to refresh forgotten skills, to strengthen confidence in speaking, to broaden their vocabulary or get to know grammar better.

Everyday classes give you an intensive contact with the language, and the precise system of revisions guarantees that you will not forget what you have already learned. What’s more, a relaxed and stress-free atmosphere in class gives a possibility to break any language barrier quickly. That is why during your stay in Cracow, you will easily make new friends and you will be able to communicate in Polish in no time!

Intensive courses consist of up to 20 lessons per week. The number of hours depends on the number of students in one group:

  • more than 4 students in a group: 4 lessons a day
  • from 2 to 4 students in a group: 3 lessons a day

The average number of students in a group is from 6 to 8 (4 lessons per day).

Students are allowed to take part in other classes at a similar level before or after their class as ‘auditors’. What’s more, students who are motivated to work harder and who have more free time can count on extra homework. So if you really want to, you can learn Polish very intensively. With the help of our teachers you will notice a quick language progress, even within two weeks.

Classes are held in the mornings, from 9 am to 1 pm.  Afternoons and evenings are the special time for discovering Krakow and Polish culture and for integration! :)

To make your learning more effective, some of the classes take place outside of the school (in museums, restaurants or the Main Market Square…).

By those active forms of practicing the language, you learn new vocabulary in everyday life situations and get to know more about Polish culture and unique places in the city.

Once a week after regular lessons, we organise language workshops on important and interesting aspect of Polish, for example ‘W Szczerzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie – pronunciation’, ‘Wyrazy brzydkie i brzydsze – slang’, ‘Bileciki do kontroli! – the world of diminutive forms’. Thanks to such workshops, you’ll find it easier to cope with Polish rustling sounds, understand the way that Polish people speak in trams, pubs and on the street, as well as find out why Polish ‘loves’ diminutive forms.

Polish lessons are also slipped during our cultural programme. During our evening meetings, trips and workshops we try to speak as much Polish as possible. It’s easy to remember new expressions in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s also a great opportunity to get to know Polish culture better, to make new friends and simply have fun.

The course ends with a final test and a certificate distribution ceremony.
