Spring
in Kraków
15 Mar | 2021
Yay! The spring has finally arrived! There is more sun, energy and plenty of free time which you can spend outside… 😉
Whether the warm days mean more outdoor sport for you or sweet naps in a hammock, we have a few propositions, that you might find interesting!
Let’s start with … Vistula river. 😊 Aside from picnics and walks along the river, you can also set on a trip by a water tram (you will find it on the Czerwiński Boulevard by the Dębnicki bridge) or provide a solid dose of movement by renting a canoe (on Kurlandzki Boulevard or at Księcia Józefa 24a street).
If you prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground, we recommend you walks among green places of Krakow – for example through Planty (in the very center of the city), mounds (Krakus Mound is our favorite!) or parks (we recommend the renovated park Krakowski). A good idea will also be a trip to the ZOO (at the street Kasy Oszczędności Miasta Krakowa 14). For those who like to move faster, we recommend a bicycle ride to Tyniec (you can rent a bike with Wavelo, a „city bike network”).
Do you like ice-creams? Cream from Skała, Polish strawberry, salted caramel… these are the top flavors of the local Good Lood ice-cream parlor. Try them while being in Kazimierz district! And if you really love culinary travels, we recommend fashionable places in the outdoors, where you can eat something good, rest on comfortable sun loungers and listen to chillout music. A good example will be Bezgódek, a foodtrack park near Krakow’s Błonia.
And how well do you know Podgórze? This district of Krakow has been gaining more and more popularity lately. Therefore, even if you have already visited the Schindler’s Factory and you have stuck a brass lock on the Kładka Bernatka footbridge, it is still worth taking a stroll along the old Podgórze, enjoying some coffee tasting. Our favorite place? Bonjour Cava!
In the evening we especially recommend pubs with atmospheric gardens in Kazimierz and the unique Forum Przestrzenie with a wide view of Vistula and Wawel Castle. More party-like address is Tytano Dolne Młyny (Dolnych Młynów 10 street) which is close to our school. Even if the evening will last a little bit too long, that’s ok – in one of the Krakow’s cafeteria’s they will feed you well, for example in Ranny Ptaszek (Augustiańska 5 street).
Now you know that Kraków is full of charming and green spots. Take an advantage of the spring aura and discover it all for yourself! 😊
