In 2022, the renovation of the facades of our tenement house was finally completed. The building looks beautiful on the outside. Not too bad on the inside either. Bathrooms and all classrooms have been renovatedand decorated with Blanka Kabara’s artistic paintings. They look really impressive!

We also have new chairs, tables, shelves, lamps, and a refinished parquet flooring 😊. We are quite well organized. Together with these changes, we decided to be greener – new trends and fashion are also our weakness. So, we have not only a room called the green room, but also dozens of newly potted plants, which we all take care of meticulously!

The last few years have brought many changes in education. With the beginning of the pandemic, teaching verified its current habits and had to leave its set ways, look around, and notice new opportunities. Adapting to the new realities has not been easy, but we come out of this battle with the shield. We have thoroughly reorganized our school; we created a wide range of online classes, opened the possibility of hybrid lessons, and gave teachers plenty of encouragement. And voilà. In 2022, one hundred and twenty-nine groups of students took Polish language courses at school and online. We couldn’t even count the individual lessons.

With the increased demand for Polish language lessons for foreigners, it was necessary to expand our teaching staff. So, we’ve hired sixteen new teachers! Our curriculum director, Agnieszka, takes care of the entire staff, helps to organize interesting lessons, provides new ideas and plenty of encouragement.

Also, this year we changed our website page. It was a very engaging and thought-provoking undertaking 😉. It allowed us to reflect and critically look at every element of our school. The effect is excellent – you can learn about our offer, but you can also get to know us, our school, our values.

Our next, new project, on which we are working intensively now, concerns children. The adult Varia (she’s 18, however you look at it) will soon have a child 😊. In a near future, we will present you our new Varia Kids website and the offer of courses dedicated to our youngest students.

2022 has been a busy year. It seems that we printed about forty thousand sheets of paper (not as green anymore, but we recycle and reuse whatever we can!), drank hectoliters of coffee and used … unfortunately we do not know how many … dry erase markers. We grow, we develop. The year of 2022 allowed us to complete many projects and gave us the opportunity to work on new ones. We are happy to start 2023 with heads full of dreams and ideas. Thank you all for the time spent together, kind words, and friendly gestures.
