One-to-one online lessons

Can I have a trial lesson? If so, what’s the cost?

It is possible. A trial lesson lasts for 30 minutes and it’s free of charge.

What materials will be used during my lessons?

Similar to regular lessons, a teacher uses textbooks and their own materials. You will receive texts, exercises and recordings on a regular basis to your e-mail.

Where can I download Skype from?

Skype is a free messenger which you can download from:

At what time can lessons take place?

Every day from Monday to Sunday, from 5 am to 11 pm (Polish time) if we have free time slots.

Are Skype lessons effective?

Skype offers great possibilities of quick and effective foreign language learning. An online lesson gives a possibility to be in touch with a native speaker regardless of a place you stay at. Your lesson plan is flexible (lessons can take place at different times, regardless of a time zone). You have a chance to learn in a comfortable and homey atmosphere (as you can sit in your own chair with a cup of your favourite tea). :)

Skype lessons develop all language skills: reading comprehension, listening, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and writing. Homeworks  will be sent to you by e-mail.

When should I pay for my lessons?

Each lesson should be paid in advance.

What is the regular duration and price of classes?

A regular lesson lasts 60 minutes and costs 100 PLN / 25 euro.

Can I receive a certificate after my course?

Yes, it possible if your course has at least 20 lessons and if you pass your final test (for 60% or more).

Can I cancel or change the date of a scheduled lesson?

Yes, but you have to send an e-mail to your teacher or to the school office at least 24 hours before the lesson. Please remember that if you cancel a lesson on the same day, you will be charged for it. We also understand that you may be late for your lesson. Your teacher will wait for you for 15 minutes. The lesson will finish as planned before.

Is a webcam necessary?

A webcam is not necessary. You can choose if you want to see a teacher or to be seen. If you use a webcam, your contact with the teacher is fuller and more natural. On the other hand, without the camera, you can train your listening skills which also improve your pronunciation. It is a similar situation to a phone conversation where you don’t have a s possibility to use your body language. Your interlocutor (teacher) will understand you only if they hear a correct pronunciation.

What do I need for online lessons?

You will need only: headset with an attached microphone, a webcam (optionally) and an Internet connection enabling you free communication through Skype. All learning materials will be sent to your e-mail a day before classes.

What will I learn? Can I choose a topic of my lessons?

Online lessons don’t differ from regular lessons. The lesson material is adjusted to your language level as well as to your needs and expectations. Together with your teacher you will set your goals. While creating a plan, the teacher will take your suggestions into account.

What is the language used during classes?
