Polish language lessons are held at our school in Krakow, at 2/3 Michałowskiego Street (in the center of Krakow). One semester lasts 4 months (you can find the course dates below). If you plan to study longer, you can sign up for a year-long Polish language course, which consists of three semesters and one intensive course.

In the semester course we use textbooks and exercise books “Hurra! Po Polsku” – adapted to the appropriate language level. Advanced levels B2 and C use original materials prepared by our teachers.

As the only school in Krakow, we can offer you Polish language courses at all levels (from beginner to advanced). If you have already studied Polish, we will ask you to complete a placement test. We will also have a short conversation with you in Polish and assign you to a group at the appropriate language level.

During lessons we speak, teach and think 🙂 in Polish. Our students come from all over the world and Polish is often the only common language of all students. The communicative method of teaching motivates course participants not only to speak, but also to think in a language other than their native one. All Varia School teachers also speak English, so if the need arises, some issues or organizational questions can be explained in English.

Grammar is an important part of our semester course, where you learn it in a variety of contexts and communicative situations. However, we know that Polish declension is a topic that often raises the most questions and requires extra attention.

To help you deal with Polish endings once and for all, we have prepared special workshops on Polish cases that will perfectly complement your semester.

It is a 5-week online course (5 sessions × 120 minutes) in which we explain, in a clear and structured way, the logic behind Polish endings. Each session includes 60 minutes of theory in simple English and 60 minutes of intensive practice.

Why is it so important? In Polish, endings determine the meaning of a sentence — who is doing the action and who is receiving it. Knowing declension is therefore essential if you want to speak not only fluently, but above all correctly and clearly.

If you already know a bit of Polish, that’s no problem! You can join the course even after it has started. Our semester courses last about four months – we don’t want you to have to wait for months to enroll. If the course you’re interested in has already started, feel free to send us your application – we might just have available spots at your level.

If you join with a significant delay, the price will be adjusted according to the length of your course:

• if you join more than a month after the start – you pay 1200 PLN
• if you join a month or less before the end of the course – the price is 700 PLN

Also, remember that participating in the entire course allows you to fully master a given language level and continue learning smoothly at the next levels – therefore, if you can, it is definitely worth completing the whole course!
